We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed all the wonderful gifts received.
We took a quick trip to Texas to visit some family there. We went to a Christmas Eve Candlelight vigil which was a first for me. It was really nicely done. They had children read the scriptures about Christ's birth, life, and death. Between readings, various Christmas carols were sung or it was a musical instrument (clarinet and flute). It was a great way to remember the true meaning of Christmas. The only part that even had me slightly worried was the kids having their own candles to hold onto. I was watching very closely to make sure now hair got burned :)
The kids enjoyed putting out reindeer food on the front lawn for Santa and chose to leave chocolate cake and milk for Santa.
Santa was very good to the kids this year with the slot cars that Logan asked for and Hello Kitty for Aurora. Luckily Aurora is incredibly easy for the time being in what she wants. She opens a gift and says "Oh, how wonderful. My favorite". It doesn't matter what it is, it's perfect! Santa also surprised the kids with a Wii as a family gift. All of us are enjoying it. It's easy to use and everyone can get into it. Logan is already racking up high scores in bowling (188).
Thanks so much for all the wonderful gifts and cards. It's been a wonderful Christmas and we are looking forward to a great start for a very Happy New Year.

It looks like everyone had a great Christmas! Was that a Catholic service you went too? Sounds like our Christmas eve service.
