A December to Remember

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

Not only do we have the excitement of Christmas, but our big event is our family being reunited. James came home at the beginning of the month. Our "hero" was home. To honor our hero, the kids came up with signs that said "My Dad is the best superhero" and "Welcome Home Super Daddy". Logan was batman, Aurora was Wonder Woman, and I rounded this out by wearing a girly Captain America costume - James's favorite comic book hero. We were quite the sight :) Bad thing was we almost missed each other. There was a large group of folks there, and I stood behind them by a wall with the kids and all our stuff. We didn't see each other till someone pointed us out to James.

Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time. ~Laura Ingalls Wilder

We also celebrated Christmas in our new home, which was wonderful! The kids loved prepping for Santa to visit and giving each other gifts. Logan woke Aurora up with sweet words to get here to be ready for the holiday.

We thank everyone for all the wonderful gifts and wish you all a wonderful new year!!
