Spring Break and then some

Busy, busy, busy was our spring break....but so much fun! We enjoyed family coming into town the past week. So here is the week broken down.
Monday-cleaning up the rooms, so the house looks decent. Man, do we have a lot of junk that is not in use.
Tuesday-still cleaning up the mess I made yesterday, trying to finish laundry and just make it livable. Aunt J called and is delaying arrival till Wednesday as two of the boys got sick. Uncle M arrives that evening So to start off we feed him some hamburgers (blue cheese was added but not by me) and that makes the rest of the night unpleasant and he bows his head to the porcelin throne.
Wednesday- Aunt J and the boys come into town. Yeah!! It's been awhile since we have been together (almost a year). The boys get to see their daddy (wish he felt better, but it's better than nothing). Grandma gets to come into town too. We have a houseful!
Thursday-Everyone is feeling better, so we check out the new commissary and head to the park for a picnic. The kids loved it! They were off and running with little time to eat. We head home to have more visitors (Grandma, Aunt A and her two kids-the littlest being only 4 weeks old). Logan and Aurora have all their cousins under one roof-that's seven kids under the age of 5!! It's a short visit for Grandma, Aunt A and her kids, but very glad they were able to come. Grandma volunteers to watch the five grandkids and let the adults visit. We take her up on it and head out for dinner and some adult conversation.
Friday-two of the little guys are not feeling so good and unfortunately neither is Aunt J. What a bummer. So we hang around the house and watch Dora. she's always a favorite. Grandma helps out again, so we adults can head to support coworkers as they move on to their next job. After we get back we play some games (I love to play games and don't get to do it enough)
Saturday-Time to wind down and say some good-byes. Uncle M and Aunt J head out their directions (in the rain-Good thing aunt J got new tire and brakes on the way over, even though it was unplanned).
Sunday-We send grandma off bright and early. Are we finished with visitors?? You may think so, but we get some of the four legged kind. As I am eating breakfast with the kids we see a Great Dane and a very pregnant pit bull/mix. It is raining, so James gets them and brings them in. We get them cleaned up, fed and watered, and make them a comfortable bed. James loves Great Danes, so this was a fun opportunity to see one in our home. Boy was he big. He got along with Jedi (Yeah!!) We had them all day since animal control cannot pick them up on a weekend unless it's an emergency. I was a wee bit stressed. I thought for sure we were going to have puppies. She was ready to pop!
Monday-We made it through the night, and no new puppies (although I did dream it and checked on her several times). Prego pup was in the garage with several blankets, Big Dog slept on the floor by our bed and Jedi slept in the back room (He's territorial when it comes to his bed). In the morning, animal control came and off went the doggies. It was sad to see them go. It's amazing how quickly you can get attatched.
So back to the grindstone of work.
