Surprise Weekend!!

This past weekend after work and school were over, we piled the kids in to the car and headed out on the road.  The kids kept asking where we were going, but we just said we were going for a ride.  When we hit Tallahassee a little voice from the back chirped "We're in Tallahassee.  What are we doing here."  Seriously, how does he know this?!  After a while the kids (and I) fell asleep only to wake later to find we were almost at our destination.  Logan guessed it as he recognized the area and said "We're at Disney World!"  Sure enough we had made it.
We enjoyed a nice weekend of fun.  It was a bit more relaxed, since we knew what the kids liked and didn't like.  We got to see things that we missed out on the time before because they were temporarily closed (Lights, Motor, Action - Logan loved it!!! and Swiss Family Robinson treehouse).  We also tried out the new Toy Story ride which was super cute and fun!  We forced the kids to ride Tower of Terror again (twice).  I so do love that ride.  Logan worked on being brave and "screaming for a mile".  It cracked me up!  Is that bad to laugh as my child screams?
Monday night we topped it off with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  They had parades, hot chocolate and cookies, a fireworks show, the rides, and of course - Santa.  Logan asked if it was Christmas.  I said no.  He said "It's magic at Disney World that they Christmas is today".  Definitely Magic.   Logan loved dancing with the characters at their dance party with The Ladies Tremaine (Cinderella's stepmother and Anastia and Drizella?-sp).  During the fireworks, we had the best seat in the house at the Astro Orbiter which is at the top of a building.  It was a spectacular view and some of the best fireworks I have seen.  I loved it!  Tuesday we headed back and work and school have resumed today.  It was nice to enjoy a four day weekend and surprise the kids!

Pictures to come later apparently :)

Other great news!  Logan has learned how to tie his shoes.  We bought laced shoes two weeks ago, so he could start trying.  He had only worn them a couple of times before this weekend.  He worked on it while we were at Disney and he got it!  We are super proud of him!
