Up goes the Fence

Saturday is usually a day you sleep in and relax after a hard week of work, right? Well, not for James this past weekend. James was up at 5:45 am to get an early start (beat the heat) to put up our fence. Our neighbor was more than willing to help because he had put up his own fence and had all the tools necessary. Yeah!! He is a Do-it-Yourself guy in every meaning of the word. I stayed in and watched the kids while the fellas worked outside. By the way, I did not sleep in, although that was the plan, but our household was up by 6:30, so no such luck. The guys were out there sweating and we went out to see how things were going. The kids played outside with our neighbor's son Cfor a bit, then we came back inside to the cool air conditioning and cleaned up the house. At lunchtime, we had our C join us before he headed home and the kids took a nap. The work outside was finished (for what would be done at the time) by 1:00, so James headed in for lunch. We were all obviously worn out from working so hard on a Saturday, so everyone took a nap. Some naps were longer than others, but very well deserved.
